The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.
Summary of position
Héroux-Devtek is currently looking for an IT Director Corporate Applications to fill a permanent position within the IT team.
Among the responsibilities of the incumbent, but not limited to these, the candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team of four analyst-developers, three business analysts and a systems administrator. The candidate will work in close collaboration with IT managers from different regions, with the Infrastructure and Cyber Security manager, Plant Directors and the Corporate Director of Information Technologies. He will also be responsible for managing the Capex and Opex budgets of his budget items.
Development and application support will be under his responsibility. He will also maintain a good relationship with our suppliers in addition to prospecting them as needed. Always on the lookout for new technologies, it will have to offer innovative solutions in order to keep or lead Héroux Devtek and its users to easy-to-use and efficient technologies.
Reporting directly and under the supervision of the Corporate Director of Information Technology, the candidate would have as main role, without being limited to these, to:
•Coordinate, supervise and monitor the work of its employees.
•Coordinate, supervise and monitor the work of service providers.
•Build solid KPIs on the status of projects or requests.
•Implement a work methodology for its employees.
•Development and management of departmental budgets.
•Recruitment and hiring of new employees as needed.
•Annual evaluations of its employees.
•Ensure constant progression of employees.
•Develop relationships with new suppliers in order to expand our pool of resources and be able to deliver more projects at the same time.
•Occasionally visit the different sayings of the company.
•Be an agent of change.
Qualifications requises et exigences•Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and / or any other training deemed relevant with a minimum of five (5) in a similar role.
•Experience in managing a multidisciplinary IT team for several business units. (Must)
•Practical experience in improving business processes and deploying ERP systems. (Must)
•Experience in managing the “flow” of IT change requests.
•Experience in setting up an IT structure. (Must)
•Experience in the manufacturing industry (Aeronautics: asset)
•Bilingualism both oral and written (English and French); (Must)
•24/7 availability for emergencies and sporadic travel.
•Excellent presentation skills to both management team and users.
